The Crisis that Launched Millions of Masks
For over two decades, manufacturing has steadily left the United States for cheaper labor and less regulated markets. The reasoning—products cannot be made cost-effectively in the United States.
Unfortunately, once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it became clear that we have a glaring domestic problem—the US has systemically dismantled our self-reliance on procuring and developing emergency goods necessary to combat such a crisis and created a dependency on manufacturing in other countries such as China—even by US Top 100 companies.
The Response—A Focus on Domestic PPE Self-Sufficiency
Aegle was born from the idea that now is the time to flip the script—the unquestioned acceptance of the cost-efficiency of off-shore production is an antiquated and narrow-minded approach to product manufacturing, logistics, and business operations. It became clear, that by challenging this mindset, Aegle could turn the PPE industry on its head and a new kind of domestic manufacturing could be born.
By focusing on strategic business and partnership development directed at reimagining the production line, procuring cutting-edge technology, and refining the end-user experience, Aegle has created a highly automated state-of-the-art manufacturing facility poignantly positioned to close the gap in our country’s need for Personal Protective Equipment self-sufficiency with domestic production.
Explore Our Groundbreaking FacilitiesWe’re building one of largest PPE manufacturing facilities in the United States and preparing to produce millions of PPE products per year.
Today, Aegle’s 100-acre campus boasts over 1,500,000 sqft of manufacturing and warehousing space designated to launch Made in the USA PPE.
This site is comprised of multiple ISO-level cleanrooms ranging from ISO 7 hard-sided wall manufacturing facilities that utilize HEPA filtration systems to maintain air cleanliness levels of a maximum of 10,000 particles (≥0.5µm) per cubic foot to ISO 5 super-clean cleanrooms with less than 3,520 particles per cubic foot and 250-300 HEPA filtered air changes per hour.
Today we have six operating N95 Foldable Mask lines built to produce 180,000 masks per day and six N95 Cup Mask lines capable of producing 100,000 masks per day. Our facility is growing and we are adding additional lines and operational personel weekly!
